Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year! It was mostly due to it being Ryker's first Christmas. We started off Christmas Eve at the Ocana's. We have a sit down dinner and then exchange presents and then play games. We only had 7 of us this year, but it was by far one of the funnest. After dinner Steph's friend Kelli Neuteboom comes over with the best treats you can imagine. That is what I look forward to each year! She has been coming over since I can remember. Thanks again Kelli!! We finished off the night with the usual Apples to Apples.

We had Christmas morning at home. Santa was good to us. After we opened our presents at home we made the rounds. Gma & Gpa Neville's where Ryker got a riding John Deere Tractor. We then went to Gma & Gpa Blanchard's and then to Gma & Gpa Olsen's.

We were going to spend Christmas night as a family playing games, but Jared got called into work to plow at 8pm and did not get home unitl 6pm the next day. We had a great holiday and hope everyone else did too!

Packpack, Cellphone and Hat

Ryker has been carrying around an old cellphone for a little while. Jared and I thought it would be funny if we could get him to wear his packpack and his hat. We were successful with the packpack, but the hat did not last long!

Happy Birthday!

This year for Steph's birthday Rob had a big surprise. It first started off with Rob and Steph taking a drive down to the Training Table by the E-Center. Rob told Steph that they could go to the Layton one anytime. They get to the Training Table and low and behold, there is my mom, dad, Jared and I sitting at a table. The look on her face was great! She was so surprised! Well the surprises did not stop there! We all walked across the street and headed to the Grizzlies game. Well after the first period they announced overhead "Happy Birthday to Stephanie Combes!" She got a little embarassed, but little did she know there was more! After the second period Grizz the Bear came up and gave her flowers and then her name came up onto the screen! It was such a fun night.

Update

Just a quick update on us all:

Jared- had his wisdom teeth out last week. They were really bad, in fact they were so bad that our dentist is no longer going to take wisdom teeth out. He also caught the flu bug while he was recovering from his teeth.

Nat- I sliced my thumb open with a lid from a sloppy joe can. I got 4 stitches. I always wondered how long it would take for me to get some. 24 years later I finally got 'em.

Ryker- just turned 10 months old. He now has 6 wonderful teeth. He is walking everywhere and getting into everything. He just got over the flu bug as well.

Addicted....

We are totally addicted to this show. Were not much of the biker gang people but this show ROCKS!!! Too bad tonight was the season finale.....oh well there is always next season!

19. How did you meet? My cousin(now sister-in-law) was dating Jared's oldest brother. She said his little brother was cute and fun to hang out with and since we had both just broken up with others it would be the perfect breakup fling! Here we are 4 years and a baby later!
20. Who kissed who first? Jared kissed me on our first date 2 nights after I met him.
21. Who proposed? Jared did. We went snowmobiling on Valentine's Day with his family. We went up bu Mantua to where you can look over and see Avon. We all stopped and Jared said he had to go to the bathroom. He came back and asked "What do you see?" I said " Tree's" and he said "NO what do you see?" I said again "Tree's and snow" He then was down on one knee and said "I see you an me forever!"
22.His best Features? I love his smile. He doesn't show it that much but when he does it melts my heart!
23. What are his greatest qualities? He is a great dad. We were both very nervous about being parents, but he has done awesome! Although he still won't change the poopy diapers! He is also my best friend. He listens when I need him to and he also gives me advise....even when I don't want it. I love you Jer!

Ryker's new highchair

Ryker got a new highchair today. He had figured out how to wiggle out from under his bumbo tray so we needed something that strapped him in. My mom brought this over today to see if this would work or not since he is not a fan of the regular highchairs. We are going to try it and hopefully it works!

Family Reunion 2008

This year for the Martinez Family Reunion we went down the Duschesne. We had a great time. Jared and I ended up being on the same survivor team, as well as all the other married couples. We had so much fun doing the scavenger hunts, eating the nasty food mixture and running the relay. Although our team didn't win, we still had lots of fun. You did an awesome job dad!

Were off to the rodeo.....

Anyone who knows me knows that I am totally obsessed about the Miss Rodeo Utah pagent. Every year we go to the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo on the 24th just to see who is going to be crowned. This year we went on Monday just to check out the girls. I was trying so hard to get a picture with the current Miss Rodeo Utah, but no such luck. Here are some fun pictures of us on Monday night. I will post more pictures of us on Thursday and hopefully one with Miss Rodeo Utah!!
